About the Architects
Former SOM and Hassell Senior Architect.
Having worked for some of the world’s most prestigious, international architecture firms, Kris was excited to bring his knowledge and skills back to his home Western Australia.
Having worked in Perth for several years prior to his time overseas, Kris was in the unique position of being able to combine international design practices with local knowledge and experience on his return which led him to start his business, Maine Architecture.
As a second-generation architect, design is in Steeg’s blood. After completing his studies, Steeg travelled the globe whilst absorbing beautiful, worldly architecture and gaining sufficient industry experience as he worked abroad.
Steeg’s father founded BANHAM architects in 1975, which focuses on contemporary and minimalist beachfront houses. Steeg joined the family business after returning from his travels where his knowledge and skills have been an asset.
